Your skills could help protect the UK

This could be one of the most important roles you ever have. Every day, you'll be working on award-winning content and high-profile campaigns for an audience of millions. Your goal? To help keep people safe from terrorism. It's your chance to make a critical impact - and maybe even save lives.

As a Digital Communications Officer, you'll join a specialist team in the National Counter Terrorism Policing HQ (NCTPHQ). Here, you'll develop Counter Terrorism (CT) digital channels, platforms and content that reach hearts and minds. Ultimately, your work will help to keep people safe - equipping them with practical information and encouraging them to support the work of the police. Through innovative campaigns, you'll counter the terrorist narrative and warn people of its consequences. It's a unique opportunity to dissuade people from being drawn into violence.

You'll work closely with government departments, intelligence community, law enforcement and businesses to raise awareness of CT policing, security and safety advice. You'll also work alongside highly skilled communications professionals - the industry's best and brightest. To be part of this team, you need solid experience of creating quality digital content. You'll be adept at finding innovative solutions for briefs and creating reactive and proactive content. Your expertise should cover photo and video editing, design and web content management platforms. You'll also have a gift for picking up new tools quickly.

With a good grasp of both digital and news media, you'll have the power to explain complex issues, improve awareness and increase engagement. It's your chance to contribute directly to public confidence, CT Policing and safety UK-wide
